#1 – Why A. Ready Press?

Green AAs a master of science turned communicator, I spent 30 years turning various dull or disconnected facts (regulatory requirements, environmental conditions, and project objectives) into meaningful information that decision-makers and the public could rely upon. I found a knack for sharing information with my audiences, not talking at them, but honing a message from my universe of knowledge to distill it into pertinent information to their needs and choices. I soon became frustrated when others could not deliver successfully—perhaps they had the knowledge base, but were unable to effectively communicate that knowledge, leaving their audience both under-informed and discouraged. I became the go-to person for public presentations, in-house briefings, regular newsletters and occasional video productions. I sought training in graphic design and explored my innate creative tendencies. I learned to use visuals, as well as written imagery to share my message or tell a story.

However, it was my early exposure to history, war images, and political arguments that inspired a lifetime of reading and seeking for a true semblance of reality through the fog of time, perspectives and often purposeful obfuscations.

On a lighter note, using beautiful art and engaging stories for young readers is also of interest to me. I hope to partner with budding artists to create delightful children’s books.
